Tammy Bavaret (she/her)

Tammy Bavaret is an Assistant Director of Biosafety at Tulane University with 10 years of experience as a biosafety professional providing advanced support to the development and implementation of the university's biosafety and biosecurity programs. Outside of Tulane, she is an independent biological safety consultant supporting local and federal government agencies and a private real estate investor focusing on residential home renovations to provide quality affordable housing options in the local community. With a research background in molecular biology and biochemistry, she has also published several publications related to cell growth regulation and cancer cell signaling pathways.
