Stephen Medley (he/him)

Stephen Medley joined the Tulane athletics department as Assistant Athletic Director, NCAA Compliance in September 2022.  

In his role, Medley will be the point person for Financial Aid and Admissions for all sports as well as assist managing the department’s compliance internship program.

Prior to joining Tulane Athletics, Medley worked across town at the University of New Orleans as their Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance since August 2020.

Before joining the Privateers, Medley served as the Assistant Director of Compliance with the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions.  In his capacity with the Lions, Medley worked with all sports assisting with the day-to-day operation of the athletic compliance office.  Prior to joining the Lions, Medley worked as a Compliance Assistant in the Middle Tennessee State University athletic department during the 2017-18 academic year.

Medley earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 and a Juris Doctor with a certificate in Sports Law from Tulane University in 2014.  He furthered his education while serving as a Compliance Graduate Assistant with Southern Miss Athletics receiving a Master of Business Administration in 2017.  

The Hattiesburg, MS native is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the National Association of Athletic Compliance.  He resides in New Orleans with his dog Roscoe.
