Leslie Tate (she/her)

Leslie Tate is the Manager of Outreach and Communications at the Tulane National Primate Research Center, where she champions biomedical research and oversees internal and external communications and public relations including executive communications, media relations, and website and social media content. In the years following Hurricane Katrina, she brought new students to New Orleans as the Director of Admissions for the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where she also earned her Master of Public Health degree in Health Education and Communications. Prior to that, she was honored to be among the first group of Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Georgia. Leslie was raised outside Portland, Oregon and enjoys running, knitting, art, and spending time outside with her two kids.
