Myriam Huet

My career has moved through research, teaching, faculty development, community engagement, evaluation, and executive coaching, and one thread runs through every role: helping people recognize their potential and navigate change. I grew up in a working-class Franco-Algerian family in France and never expected to earn a doctorate in the United States or build a career in American higher education. That path required me to learn unfamiliar systems, challenge my own limiting beliefs, and redefine what I believed was possible.

I am a Licensed Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator and a growth-oriented leadership coach. I serve as Assistant Vice President for Research Excellence and Opportunity at Tulane University, supporting faculty success, organizational development, and institutional change.

I coach professionals at every career stage to build clarity, confidence, and effective leadership when they are navigating career transitions and organizational complexity.

My coaching draws on the GROW framework and growth mindset principles to help clients define meaningful goals, work through barriers, and translate insight into action. I bring systems and design thinking so clients see the larger system they operate within and the moves available to them. My approach is data-driven and culturally responsive, naming identity, power, and organizational dynamics directly. Clients tell me I helped them focus on what they could control, and that I saw them as a whole person, not just their role.

That path taught me growth rarely feels linear from the inside. I coach with empathy and challenge, because real progress asks people to sit with discomfort and keep moving before they feel fully ready. I won't let clients stay comfortable, or underestimate strengths they have.

My focus areas include leading organizational change, intercultural leadership, teaching and facilitation, and building collaborative leadership across cultures.

I am a Tulane University Leadership Institute Certified Leadership Coach and a Licensed IDI Qualified Administrator, certified in 2018. I completed Tulane's Anti-Racism Leadership Program in 2024 and Restorative Practices Training in 2023. I hold a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology from Tulane.

Outside of work, I spend my time adventuring with my young son, exploring the outdoors or traveling overseas to reconnect with family. As a parent building a life across cultures, I've learned that growth begins with curiosity and adaptability, the qualities I draw out in every client.
