Jennifer Manuzak (she/her)

Jennifer Manuzak is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Immunology at the Tulane National Primate Research Center and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She is originally from Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii. She graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Occidental College and her PhD in Immunology from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Jen is passionate about scientific exploration and translational research in the areas of infectious disease, mucosal immunology, reproductive immunology, and substance use. She is fully committed to building an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive laboratory environment where all can thrive, and is devoted to promoting the careers and scientific aspirations of underrepresented individuals, including women, people of color, LGBTQ+ folx, and people with disabilities. When not doing fun science with her incredible team, Jen enjoys dancing hula, watching cooking shows, reading, traveling the world, and spending time with her family.
