Biography
Prior to joining Tulane, Denise held the position, Director of Compensation, at a large NY metropolitan Catholic university. She has more than 25+ years of strategic and operational HR experience, with 16+ years in compensation leadership roles and has worked in academic, not-for-profit, and corporate settings. During her career, Denise has successfully led compensation studies, FLSA conversions, annual merit cycles, executive compensation annual reviews, salary structure designs, retention programs, equity analysis, and performance-based pay incentives.
Denise has a love for knowledge which makes her feel right at home within Tulane. She received a double-major bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from Clark University, Worcester MA. She holds a MS in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a MA in Transpersonal (wholistic) Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Denise’s heuristic research interest is to understand the employee’s lived experience of “being authentic” in the workplace.
