Biography
I was born and raised in New Orleans and attended LSU Health Science Center where I graduated with a BSN in nursing. After passing state boards, I practiced Nursing in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Charity Hospital for 2 years before moving first to Shreveport, LA for 5 years and then on to Little Rock Arkansas for 22 years. While in Shreveport and Little Rock, I worked as a registered nurse in ICU's and Emergency Departments. After 20 years of bedside nursing, I made the decision to take a job as a research coordinator/project manager at University of Arkansas Medical Center where I coordinated studies for pediatric endocrinology. In 2013 I made the decision to move back home to New Orleans and join the Tulane Center for Clinical Research and have never looked back. When I started here at Tulane 10 years ago, our staff consisted of myself and 2 other people. We have since grown to a staff of 27 and coordinated over 60 research studies for the Tulane community. I presently live in New Orleans and have 3 grown children and 2 grandsons. My hobbies include swimming, cooking and playing with my grandsons.
