Beth Nazar
Biography
Beth Nazar’s coaching goal is to use her experience at Tulane since 2012, coaching skills, enthusiastic optimism, and dedication to the Tulane community to help colleagues achieve their goals, improve their performance, and navigate through various obstacles they might encounter in their personal or professional lives. Beth is in awe of the power of coaching. She uses active inquiry and various coaching models to allow the client to define what the issues are and discover a path forward. Her philosophy is people-focused, and she is passionate about assisting others in achieving their personal and professional goals.
Beth has over 1500 hours of coaching experience engaging both individuals and small groups.
Beth has over 25 years of experience in international higher education. For twelve years she worked in the Office of International Students and Scholar, most recently as the Associate Director. Beth’s work has dealt in a broad range of areas such as: marketing, orientation and onboarding, communications, programming, operations, student development, intercultural adjustment, student leadership, campus collaboration, federal immigration regulations and compliance, and student and scholar health insurance. She has worked closely with hundreds of international students and scholars and supported them in achieving their academic, professional, and personal goals. In addition, Beth has been a collaborator on campus via direct collaboration or contributing to committees and work groups and has benefitted from understanding the experience of many Tulanians as they navigate the challenges of life and work. Recently Beth accepted the position of Associate Director of Faculty Affairs in the Tulane School of Architecture. She is excited to make this transition at this phase in her career and to bring her experience and dedication to a different sector of the university.
Beth is a local New Orleanian, and she lived 5 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is married and has a son and daughter who are both in college. She enjoys getting together with friends, cooking, hosting Argentine Asados with her husband, and watching a great New Orleans rainstorm.
